What is Badger Spill?

Established at UW–Madison in 2009, Badger SPILL now continues as a program of Badger Supports, carrying forward its longstanding mission of helping students feel heard, supported, and less alone. Through its anonymous online peer-support service, students can share what they are going through and receive thoughtful responses, perspectives, and resources from trained Student Supporters, with support and coordination from SPILL Coordinators.

Our Mission

To offer empathetic, non-judgmental peer support and to connect students with campus resources when needed. We prioritize safety, confidentiality, and respect for each individual's experience.

How It Works

Submit an anonymous message through our form on the homepage. Trained student responders will read your message and reply with support and resources within 48 hours.

Volunteer Team

Our volunteers are UW–Madison students trained in active listening and peer support. If you're interested in volunteering, visit the Get Involved page to learn how to join.

Safety & Limits

Badger Spill is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 911 or visit the university's crisis resources on our Resources page.
